Travel by Road
Guests are welcome to drive themselves to the ranch, however, they are responsible for their own safety and to be able to self-rescue. The last 70 miles is on a dirt road with varying difficulty, so a high-clearance vehicle with tires for off-pavement use (E-Range all-terrain tire is recommended) is required. At least one good all-terrain spare tire needs to be available in the case of a flat tire. Examples of high clearance vehicles: truck, jeep, suburban, or a large SUV.
For anyone driving their own vehicle to Tuweep Grand Canyon National Park, you must obtain a Tuweep Day Use Ticket ($2.00 per vehicle). Please visit http://www.recreation.gov for additional information and to obtain your ticket. Tickets for Tuweep day use cannot be purchased, obtained, or printed once you have arrived at the ranch.
If driving to the ranch, please double-check your route with our suggested route in the link below.
